I’m Alive, plus MHA Award

I survived finals week and did better than I expected. First year of Greek and Latin down. I’m currently in Louisiana with my family (right now I’m procrastinating working on a paper at the library because we don’t have high-speed internet at home). Turns out it was stake conference this weekend and Elder Christofferson was there, and I had the opportunity to shake his hand.

I just found out that my paper, “Early American’s Treasure-Quest,” which argues that early American treasure-seeking is best understood as a spiritual phenomenon, won the Mormon History Association’s Juanita Brooks Award for the Best Undergraduate Paper. Unfortunately due to school and work I won’t be able to attend the MHA Conference in Independence, MO later next month, but it’s still exciting.
